Becoming a tradition almost as coveted as the majors themselves, Nike’s major-inspired golf shoes typically released during tournament week and often seen on a few Nike athletes during play always have golf fans on their toes. Ahead of the PGA Championship, Nike is releasing a limited-edition version of the Air Max 90 G golf shoe with details honoring Tulsa, Okla.,Oofos Outlet the tournament’s host city. Available May 19 at Nike and Golf Galaxy, the shoe will retail at $150 and, like with most Nike drops, is expected to sell out quickly.
The insole design is the most obvious nod to the host city, with a map of Tulsa printed on the insoles. At the tongue, a highway sign printed “Nike ‘72” was styled to replicate the historic Route 66. U.S. Highway 66 was one of the first highways in the country, running across eight states and through Tulsa. Designers swapped the route number 66 to ‘72 to honor the year Nike was founded.

A sand-like design on the Nike swoosh adds color and texture to the primarily white golf shoe, while silver details at the lace eyelets and heel give it a futuristic feel.
