There were brilliant performances from title contenders Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool while there was a surprise defeat for reigning champions Manchester City.

talkSPORT reveals which team’s starting XI wore what make of boot with some pretty quirky facts to come with them, too.

Of the 220 players who started for their clubs over the weekend, 97 players wore Nike, 94 players wore Adidas, while one wore both!

Meanwhile, 23 chose Puma and the hipster choices included New Balance (2), Under Armour (1) and Mizuno (1).
